Hi everyone! I was just curious about what people wrote for Prompt 2 in the application. I know it's not the time to be second-guessing myself since I have already submitted it, but I am slightly worried that mine might be a little generic. In summary, I wrote about a woman I encountered while working at a campaign. If anyone wants to read it, I'll gladly send it. Thanks!

I wrote about my experience in Thailand at a Burmese refugee camp. I was fortunate enough to visit there and speak with a 21 year old refugee. Def gave me an interesting topic for prompt 2!

Although I doubt UCSD will even look at either statement.

i wrote about one of my greatest accomplishments being my relationship with my parents, sometimes it can be hard to come by a child that genuinily has a great relationship with their mom and dad. I’m sure everyone will say it’s lame but oh well.

ugh thats a good idea sweetnezz. they always want originality and truth, both of which you seemed to write about. i went the lame, unoriginal route and wrote about my leadership experience and why leadership is important to me.

I wrote about getting a gold medal in speech at the California state Academic Decathlon, written in a first person perspective with lame attempts at sounding like a novel.

I’m willing to show anyone who wants to see.

I wrote about a dream I had where in which I summoned the eight animal spirits and they helped me topple darkness once and for all. In the essay, I wrote about how all eight animal spirits represent and are essential to a different aspect of my character.

about my very rocky HS career in which I dropped out, then went to continuation school while working full time at age 16 to help support a single-mother household, which i still do to this day, while getting decent grades at my cc.

I wrote about how my parents were killed by ninjas, leaving me to care for my 19 brothers and one sister. And how the police hassle me constantly for “expressing” myself. And how through it all I selflessly persevered in school. While simultaneously caring for my brothers and sister, ending the aids crisis, bringing democracy to Cuba, bringing about an era of world peace and unity, and getting myself a double iced soy no whip extra foam extra hot triple macchiato from Starbucks all while saving the rainforest from “those darn SUVs”
