For AP Lang&Comp final, we have to write a personal statement. I wasn't exactly sure if this was going in the right direction, and I was wondering if someone amazing would proofread this? It would mean the world, thanks!!!

On my first day of high school, as I waited for the teacher to call my name, I knew just what was coming. As soon as the teacher called my name, she didnt simply move on to the next person, but she told my classmates who my siblings were and all that they had accomplished. And as she finished, every student would turn to me and ask, "Wow, will you be a doctor? An engineer? A CEO?" At first, all these questions seemed overwhelming, and pressuring. I would think to myself, am I a failure if I dont follow their exact career pathways? What was the point of working so hard for something I wouldnt be happy doing?
Thats when I realized that perhaps it wasnt what my siblings decided to do that made them successful, it was all the hard work and passion they poured into everything they did. Rather than being frustrated by my peers expectations, I became motivated to be successful like my siblings. I decided that I needed to take the steps they took to achieve what I defined as my own success.
My chief goal in life has always been to make my parents proud, which is a main aspect of my definition of success. My brother did this by starting the company that he had dreamt of since elementary school. My sister did this by getting her medical research published that she has worked on for months. Now its my turn. I want to put that same glowing smile on my parents faces the way my brother and sister once did. I realized that regardless of what I accomplished, as long as I had worked hard, my parents would be proud of me. My brother and sister have showed me that doing what makes them happy has made our family happy. And I hope to achieve just that by pursuing the career that I had always wanted for myself, not what everyone else wanted for me.
Throughout my life, my older siblings have always served as my main role models. They have done such a wonderful job inspiring and motivating me to always perform at my best. Their achievements, advice and support have made me into the person I am, whether it was by helping me with my homework or being my loudest fans at an award ceremony. I hope that I can serve as such a figure for my three younger siblings, the triplets. The constant reassurance and support I have received from my older siblings encourages me to continue to spread their influence to guarantee the triplets a bright future like the one I have today. I want to show the triplets that its okay to follow a different career path. I want to show the triplets that all hard work pays off. And most of all, I want to show them that finding happiness is synonymous with genuine success.
Amongst the loads of pressure and expectations that my elder siblings achievements have piled upon me, instead of being consumed by frustration I have found what I define as my own success. My siblings have taught me that it doesnt matter if I want to become a lawyer or author instead of an engineer or doctor, it is the steps and goals that I achieve along the way that will make me into a successful individual.
