Proper Facebook "etiquette"?

I'm sort of new to Facebook, so I need some help. I don't have any pictures yet because I'm not the type that takes mirror pics and other obnoxious pictures of myself all day. I'm planning on just tagging myself in my friends' pictures that I am in. Is this a normal thing to do? Is it lame to tag yourself? Should I wait to be tagged by someone else, or is it perfectly normal for me to tag myself in my friends' pictures (that I am in, of course)?

Yeah, go ahead and tag yourself. Hopefully some of your friends will catch on and help you out. If it starts to clutter your page though, make sure you delete it from your profile so that you don’t look like you spent all day tagging yourself, lol.

By the way, props to you for asking. Improper Facebook etiquette is one of my greatest pet peeves.

It’s just facebook…nobody would care about what you did. If they do it’ll only last 30 seconds, they have an endless stream of statuses thatll shift their attention.

^Agreed.

It’s not lame at all to tag yourself, especially when you get a facebook. Some people are way lazy and don’t tag any of their pictures, so you end up having to do it yourself if you want it tagged.
