Pros and Cons of BC (questions from a prospective applicant)

What’s the atmosphere like at BC? I’ve heard there’s a “stuck up” attitude among the majority of students. I am in no way saying it’s true, though.

I’d like to major in computer science and do neuro or cog concentrations.

What are the good things about BC?

What are the “bad” things?

I’m from CT, so I’m used to the cold weather (although I don’t like it.) and I’m not interested in sororities. (so please don’t list these as “bad”.)

Thank you :)

Good Things: Just about everything. Great academics, great location, great people

Bad Things: This university will live and die for you on its financial aid which is the worst I have ever seen and is the reason myself and many others I’ve talked to aren’t there.

If you can afford it, you will not regret going to BC, but if you can’t, you’ll have just a bit of bitterness toward a school you loved that didn’t love you back.

Thanks!

That bad thing is a big bad thing… but thanks for the info :)

If anyone else has input, I’ll be glad to hear it!
