what are the pros and cons of buying refurbished products? or used products?

like a refurbished mp3 player

pros: cheaper price
cons: may be a "lemon", but usually not.

dont you think refurbished means working, its never a lemon. you should buy everything refurbished, it doesnt make sense to buy stuff new becuase once you open it the price goes down atleast 10%. nothing will be wrong and if it is take it back to the store

The type of refurbishing depends on the company. I would NEVER buy refurbished because it is of lower quality. There's usually a very good reason that the product was returned...and it's not because it was working great.

It does mean working, but in my experience, sometimes when a product goes back for repair, it could be the first of many things that go wrong with it. It always depends on the company standing behind it.

its "working"... but working crappily

like ur cd player will "run" but skip a lot

Correct. Refurbished products also normally have a shorter lifespan.
