I’m a high school in state senior whose top choice is PSU. I was accepted to UP for Forensic Science, but I haven’t committed yet as I am still deciding between UP and a Berks 2+2 program. I have the grades to keep up with UP (applied to Schreyer but was rejected), but I’m worried about being away from home and the cost.
As we all know, Penn state is exceptionally stingy with its financial aid. I’m the second kid in my family to go to college, so we have the pell grant and Pennsylvania grant, but my older sibling is going to a 2-year school. I got the provost, but with 3 other brothers along with my older one, money is a little bit tighter.
Basically what I’m asking is: Is it worth it? For either thing and what do you think would be the best course of action if I chose either?
