I heard it is in an "ideal location" in north campus... but that doesn't tell much.

pros:

There are a lot of single rooms, there is a private bathroom for every 5 people, its new, has a/c, little dust, has girls and guys across the hall from each other so it is easy to meet. it is quiet so you can study there, it is close to appel commons and the big lawn in front of hellen newman, it is close to campus (as opposed to low rises, high rises, town houses), and is right next to court hall and donlon.

cons:

it does not share a quad with court, donlon, clara dickson. it can be a little less social than donlon or dickson.

its gorgeous and modern. man iw an ted mews!

wow… private bathroom for every 5 people. thanx :)

It has no heater…at least I don’t think it does because it’s so cold in the winter. Also, someone pulls the fire alarm every month so you run out in the freezing cold in your pajamas at 4 am once a month. Probably the same person always destroys property or uses the fire extinguisher so the whole floor/dorm gets charged. Other than that, it’s not bad.

If this was true the indoor temp in the winter would hover in the low 30s. Like every other building on the cornell campus it has heat.

I thought so…

i dont know if people intentionally pull it. i know there’s like monthly fire inspections or w/e.

i dont know if mews has its own heating unit but those older dorms are MAD hot b/c they get their heat from cornell heating plant.
