haha yeah, I'm definitely not Irish Catholic but ND is one of my top schools... I'm not even a legacy. Go figure.

Biggest Con: The 50K price tag, especially when you fall in to the category of not rich enough, and not poor enough.

Is it worth it? We hope so. S is a freshman, so a long way yet to go. It was a huge decision for us and we agonized a long time. When we asked those in the know if it was worth it, we always received a solid YES! The ND name recognition and the ND Network will open doors we were told. All the talk about the ND family so far has been true. It sounds kind of corny at first, but it is real. I was expecting the snob factor to show up, but so far I haven't encountered it. For us so far, so good.

Pros: Parietals! I love them! I'm a mom, what do you expect! The biggest plus I see, is it allows for some study time, and sleep time. College kids are so sleep deprived as it is, without parietals it would get worse. Plus I think there would be a lot of roommate issues.

nweido - college students aren't adults until their parents say they can be! :D

partygrl a bit of a misnomer ^ ^ ^?

partygrl, parietals are really easy to get around. If a girl's wants to stay over/vice versa, she/he will.
