Pros and Cons of NYU? Applied ED..and might or might not get in!

New Yorkers know that the Upper East Side portrayed in GG is soooooooooooooooo not like the UES shown.

And we totally know that Dan and Vanessa wouldn’t live near the Brooklyn Bridge. But they show the Brooklyn Bridge EVERY SINGLE TIME they reference Manhattan! Argh!

I’ve had the best brunch I’ve ever had on the Upper East Side. It was, dare I say. . . fabulous.

^^I’m not “proud” per say about it - it’s just where I’ve happened to be living all my life and don’t think people should just write me off like that. The whole “where I’m from shouldn’t define you” line.

BELIEVE ME, I know. let’s just say i live in the “forgotten borough” and the stereotypes you’ve heard do not apply to me AT ALL. i feel you, bb!

I think we can agree that anyone living in the Village is proud, one way or another.

^^ that’s actually pretty good. I’m straight - but that’s funny.

and I didn’t mean to imply that you are a spoiled rich kid, I just said that would be your stereotype if any. And to miss american pie, staten island? bummer. I give the upper east side some crap with respect to the rest of Manhattan, but within the entire city it’s a solid place to live… I’m one of those big advocates for Staten Island joining the New Jersey team

favoritemistake…i know what u mean! lol ppl, not just on here, seem to attack those who are born into a family who is fairly wealthy. i posted sumthin on cc one time and evry1 went crazy at me and ppl started basically screaming and callin names lol…i mean they can do the same for their kids like my parents did for me… i guess. but i thot it was just in my town cuz its a small town but i guess its evrywhere unless u have friends that are at the same financial level as you are, then they wont really judge u based on ur money or ur parent’s income or where u live even if u do live on the UES

@ babygrl
This is how i responded after i read your post:) enjoyyyy
HUH. Okay, look I am not in a very good mood today, SO LET me SPEAK plainly:

  1. It was one person who got angry & started calling names (really-- maybe they were just having a bad day- like me :))
    HMMM  okay next point:
  2. And honestly…I MEAN SERIOUSLY… did you write about your parent’s money in your essay? I understand that everyone judges PERIOD everyday & everything… NOT JUST ON THE “FINANCIAL STUATUS OF THEIR PARENTS OR THEM OR BLAH BLAH” I MEAN REALLY—are that hooked on money that you don’t see? It is YOU who makes it about money—not everyone else (I have read your past posts & almost every single one of them alludes to your “high financial status”).

I AM POSTIVE THAT that people (maybe not you)… but other people can see past what you can’t…
SOOO don’t worry <3 I’ll judge you not on your true religion jeans or your parents house BUT on what you contribute to the discussions in class :} best of luck <3

oh uhh well dont count on hearin from me in class discussions lol i would write more but i have to do hw : / maybe tmw. and im about to fall asleep with a slight headache. ugh.
