Pro's and Con's of Towson? which school should i go to?

I'm trying to decide what school to go to.

I live in MD, so Towson would make me virtually debt free. I also got in to Penn State- University Park summer session, University of South Carolina, and 3 others i'm not considering anymore.

What do you guys think? are PSU and USC worth the debt of 30k+?

Hmm
Well, I think you and I both know that Towson is considered the backup school for everyone who doesnt get into UMD. If youre going to pursue your education past an undergrad degree, you might as well go to Towson and save up, since your undergrad institution wont matter. However, if youre just going to get a bachelor’s and stop, the school where you got it from will matter more, and you should go for the more prestigous institution (aka not towson)

I think it also depends on your intended major. Towson probably makes the most sense for you - at least financially. I do think its reputation is moving upwards. You also have the option to attend Towson for 2 years and then transfer - which will save you quite a bit of money - then you could graduate from a more prestigious school if you want - or you may find yourself pleased with Towson and decide to stay. Unless you have a major in mind that is offered at Penn State or South Carolina and not at Towson, I would vote for Towson. Good luck.
