Pros and Cons

Admitted or not, post here your favorite and least favorite things about Wash U...

Favorite: Too hard to choose, haha
Least favorite: I'll have to pay full tuition

fave: the feel of the place
least fave: pricey

pros: smart people, beautiful campus, awsome city, ambitious people, idealistic people, political people :-) , awsome academics
Cons: money. ughhhh.

forgot to post mine...

best: great academic rep, dorms/food, urban location, and i hear the community is the nicest ever

worst: yeah probably the money. And less name recognition but that's not important.

best: the academics, the study abroad program, the people, the social scene (not necessarily the greatest, but better than a lot I applied to), the fact that I can go to Rams and Cardinals games whenever I want

worst: the name...honestly, have you ever seen a cool t-shirt that said "Washington University in St. Louis"? I haven't.

have you seen the shirts that say "wash.u.pride" on the front and "it's in st. louis dammit" on the back?

i think they're pretty cool :)

pro: i got accepted
con: i cant afford to go

Hehe...no I haven't seen those, that is pretty cute though

haha i want a shirt like that!

First off, I gotta get me one of those shirts! I was just at the online bookstore and the long name does not work well on tshirts.

Pro: Awesome academically! Not really a party school...outside of St. Louis
Con: Far away (I live in NJ), name

where did you see those shirts? i need one. or four. :)

The washu shirts at Bear Necessities in Wohl (student center on the 40) are much better than those at the bookstore (many say washu instead of washington university in st. louis, and they actually have womens sizes).

and since this is the pro/con thread...
pro: more than i can list, but the thing i loved best about washu was the sense of community, and the student body in general - intelligent but still fun
cons: (obviously the money), so to be different - the career center. The engineering career center in the past has done a pretty poor job with getting recruiters on campus. Hopefully it'll get better now that they've merged with the main career center
