Pros/cons for computer science?

<p>Hi CC, I want to know what the pros/cons are for going to UCSC for computer science.</p>

<p>UCSC was the only UC that accepted me for CS. (My second best choice would be SJ State because of its proximity to the silicon valley but i was only accepted for Undeclared.)</p>

<p>I know tech companies do rank colleges for prospective interns/employees and I wanted to know how UCSC weighs against other colleges in terms of CS.</p>

<p>Did you get direct admit in to CS at UCSC or to pre computer science?</p>

<p>I was directly admitted to UCSC’s BSOE (Jack Baskin School of Engineering)</p>

<p>Go to UCSC since you got into your major. My younger S was accepted to SJSU undeclared instead of CS, so he opted to go to another school where he got in to CS. UCSC’s CS program is ranked highly. Good Luck.</p>
