Prospective ED applicant (class of 2016)

Hi! College applications are approaching for me! There is something that attaches me to NU, and I plan on applying ED.

GPA:
Freshman Year 4.0/4.0 [Rank #10/739] 4 honors/2 regular
Sophomore Year 3.67/4.0 [Rank #22/750] 5 honors/1 AP (3-APWH)*
Junior Year 4.0/4.0 [Rank ~#17/744] 1 honors/ 1 regular/ 4 AP (Calc,Stats,Chem,Spanish)**
Senior Year n.a/4.0 [Rank ~#13/750] 3 honors/ 3 AP (Enviro, Spanish Lit, European)
(I still have one more semester and will probably get all A's)
CUM GPA: 3.8962 (rounds to 3.9)
I slacked big time and will be able to get better scores (4/5) in future APs.
*I am self-studying 2 APs (Econ Micro/Macro)

SAT:
PSAT: 183 (68M,52CR,63W) = Very Sick.
SAT: (just took) I think (~700M,~600CR,~750W) sigh.. Retaking for 2200~2300.
Subject: (in june) est. 750+ Math IIC, 750+ Chem

ECs:
[9-12]:
Business Club (VP-11th): State/Regional Awards, will be President next year.
Mentorship/Adivse Club (PR-9th): Nothing much, advice on HS and upper helps underclass.
Academic Decathlon: Due to early decision date, nothing noteworthy..
[10-12]:
Community Service: 500 hours in Nursing/Rehabilitation center.
Table Tennis Society

Essays: Should be good, I will spend a lot of time on them.
Recs: Should be good.

My Concerns: My SAT is VERY LOW... and I am an unhooked applicant. What score do you think I need to a have a very competitive chance? 2300+? Does NU look at writing score?

Bumppppppp pl0x what score do I need to have a really good shot?

You are correct that your present SAT score could be a killer. The Math is okay, but the CR is pretty deadly for NU. (And no, writing won’t make a difference.) Forget about what score you theoretically “need,” just do your best and see what you get.
