I'm a senior about to graduate in 2 months.(YES!!) So far I got into Hampton's, ODU's and NC A&T's Engineering school. I'm leaning towards doing Electrical Engineering. I'm very interested in circuits and how to build, fix electronic devices and such. I'm a little worried though. I've had people around me tell me how F'N hard EE is. I've seen some of the curriculum, and to be honest it kinda scared me. I'm a hard worker, especially when it counts, but I fear I'ma be overwhelmed by this major.

Should I be this worried?

Depends on how quick you are at learning new things.

try it first year, you can always choose different kinds of engineering if you don't like EE.

how comfortable are you with math and physics?

You'll know if you want EE when you take Physics II. That being said, its not for me.

It's not just physics and these are the easier classes. Some schools require you to take other discipline of engineering just so you can be well rounded. Thermodynamics, material sciences, etc.. Yeap, engineering curiculum is hard, there is no doubt, however, I don't know if there are anymore circuits work anymore. Mostly computer/software engineering, just about every engineering field requires you to know software, they are so interrelated.
