Prospective EECS '12!

Possible future 2012 Berkeley EECS students post here! :)

I applied to EECS! Best of luck to everyone!

i think i did to…what is that again?

Electrical Engineering and Computer Science… you bad boy.

oh thats me!!

Only three people? C’mon guys! :D

i applied  soooo nervous… =[ are you all californians  or out of state?

CA In-state. :)

I applied…(In State)
You think I have any chance:
GPA
4.3 W/3.83 UW
SAT Subj Test:
Math Level 2: 720
US History: 760
SAT Reasoning Test:
Writing: 700
Math: 690
Reading: 660

Good ECs/Essays/Work Experience related to CS

SAT I and II are a bit low, it’ll be tough for you to get in.

I am planning to retake SATII Math + Take Physics in January. Do you think its worth it to send to UC:B. I mean is there any hope they will view it?

I always thought the last date for the UCs to consider SATs was in December. By all means, prove me wrong, haha. Colleges might consider you as a protagonist, waiting till past the deadline to be serious. You had sophomore, junior, and part of senoir year to take the sessions, haha.

Didn’t plan to apply to EECS until recently.

Btw, I was serious about School. I took quite a bit of APs, got mostly 5s and 1 4. Also got an “okay” GPA. I just didn’t happen to ever study for the SAT. :(

You mean “procrastinator,” right? ;)

AH, yes. Protagonist… what was I thinking?

LOL “protagonist”

So where else have you guys applied, if I may ask?

LA, SD, Davis, and Stanford. I was wavering on Harvey Mudd and Cornell, but I passed since I literally had 4 days to do 4 essays. ;-)

InTheEnd-- don’t let your SAT scores get you down. they are fine. little known fact about berkeley: not everyone had a 2400 (or 1600 for the 08/09 classes) on their SATS. a lot of people i know had lower scores than you, but showed they had other (and in my opinion, more important) strengths. if you were more interested in UCLA then i’d be more concerned for you, as they play a numbers game. berkeley actually at least looks at your extracurriculars and essays because they ACTUALLY want well-rounded kids in their classrooms.
