What other schools have you guys gotten into?

Georgia tech… but will go to UF, pending admissions

New College of Florida, UCF Burnett Honors College, and the University of Miami with a $16,000 annual Deans’ Scholarship.

Georgia Tech and FSU, now I’m just waiting on UF.

Tulane, Auburn, Miami, FSU, UCF, Miami.

UCF Honors College, FAU, University of Miami with $16,000 scholarship. But UF is my TOP choice.

FSU with $9,600 University scholarship

vincan - re FSU scholarship $ congrats! were you accepted in Honors there as well?
if you gain acceptance to UF with no money would this change your mind?

What would be comparable at UF (FSU Univ Scholarship)?

Yeah, I also got the University Scholarship from FSU, however, it has not swayed my desire to go to UF in the least bit.

J’adoube-I don’t believe there are any comparable scholarships that UF gives out.

kait - are you also a bright scholar? why do you feel so strongly abut UF over FSU?

Do you mean Bright Futures? If so, then yes…I get 100% Bright Futures. And I also have prepaid tution and dorms. :-)

I’m really familiar with FSU, living in Tally and all, so I don’t think that going to FSU would really give me that whole “going away to college” experience. I also reeeeeally like the honors program at UF. I’ve visited UF’s campus a couple of times and I always feel great when I’m there. Also, another kind of silly reason is that I like the physics building better at UF. The building at FSU makes me feel claustrophobic…each floor is small, but it’s very tall. It’s also pretty old, but not in a charming way. UF’s physics building is very open and new and has fun toys in the lobby.
It’s also next door to the honors dorm. Additionally, FSU’s website drives me nuts.

Hey, sorry for the delayed response. Thanks for the kind words. However, while the scholarship from FSU was a nice confidence booster, it has no pull on my focus of being at UF in a couple months. Although, I wish they had some sort of statistic that expressed what percentage of students that got that scholarship from FSU got into UF :/.

J’audobe no, there are no comparable UF scholarships, primarily because while FSU is looking to attract students to apply, UF is flooded with applicants.

Also, I wasn’t offered admittance into the FSU honors program outright because I had a 3.7 W FSU GPA and a 1380 SAT and a 3.9 is needed. If rejected from UF I am not sure whether or not I will appeal to get into the honors program at FSU considering I would be transferring before even getting the honors AA diploma

I’m OOS and I also got into FSU with a scholarship from the university but that has, in no way what so ever, taken away from my crazy desire to go to UF.
I am planning on getting $0 from UF. Even with that in mind, I’m UF all the way. Crazy? I dunno… :)

Pretty much the same, Miami, UCF, Tulane, FSU (with the $9600 scholarship).
Vincanity: I also didn’t get into FSU honors because my FSU gpa is a 3.8, so I know how you feel. I’m waiting until Feb 15th to decide if I’m going to appeal or not.
It’s funny how we’re all so similiar. =)

gator12, vincanity1, and kaitlinc3 (university scholars), what are your stats like?
i have a ~3.93/4.3 FSU gpa and 1450 sat, and didnt get offered any scholarship money…

3.7 FSU GPA, 1380 SAT (770cr 610M)

Gator, would you appeal into honors despite intending to transfer to UF? If so, before or after getting your AA?

I have a 3.8 FSU gpa and a 1320 SAT. I believe the requirements for FSU honors are 3.9 FSU gpa and 1300 SAT.
Vincanity, even though I realyyy want to go to UF, I think if i don’t get in, it wasn’t meant to be, and I will most likely appeal into FSU honors, and go there. Hopefully, that won’t be necessary. =)

I had ~4.5ish FSU GPA and a 33 on the ACT.
Did you apply during the first round of decisions, Medwell?
