prospective majors vs. SAT IIs to take

if im planning on applying to cornell as a prospective chem + bio chem major is it ok if im not taking the bio + chem SAT IIs (im in AP Chem next year got an A in honors chem, and only took honors bio freshman year), i will however have high SAT IIs in lit, history, and math II. i think id do badly if i took bio or chem tho cuz i havent taken a AP in either.

bump bump bump

Don't take SAT IIs you can't do well in, and most ppl who take SAT chem and do well have taken AP. imho lit hist and math are fine. If you're a sophomore, you might want to take Chem after your AP class. Best of luck!

My D's GC told her that she will need a good score on a science SAT II to claim a prospective major in a science at an Ivy. You might want to take one in chem in the fall. That's when she plans to take hers.

i got 800 and 770 on chem and bio respectively before I took the AP for either of them. You don't need an AP or an honors class to do well.
