Wait up,man…the CBSE results aren’t even out. Then, how do you say you got 90%?
And if you are expecting 90%,then,its gonna be hard.Last year,my friend scored 92% and was rejected.Ideally, your scores should be 94+.

The results aren’t out yet for Indians, takeshikei;)…their decisions are based on Board Exam results which haven’t come out yet.

@everyone:
I am an international student and was rejected by NUS (Engineering and economics double major). What’s the chance of getting into NUS after appealing?

Could you guys please reply to thread #82.
Additionally, I have opted out of the double major to study only computer engineering.
What is my chance of getting into NUS?
My rank is in the top 25% of my class
A Level 3A 3B + 3 in each of the three AP subjects
Some social service works

^ i am not so sure, but from what i think, you should be able to get in…my teacher told me some of the requirements to get into NUS, and i think that unless your really applying for something that ‘hot’ like law, dentistry, medicine etc… you should be able to get in…

Hello. I am VKMN, just registered on this site and making my first posting. My first posting is a question.

I have just completed XIIth CBSE with 92.4 % overall.

I have applied for admissions to the Engineering stream of the NUS for the AY 2009-10.

The status of my application is still indicated as “application processing” in the NUS web-site.

Do I stand a chance of being offered admission to the Engineering stream ?
By when can we expect the results of NUS admissions ?
Will it be easy to get financial assistance / scholarship for the study at NUS ?

Can somebody who is well informed about NUS help me with answers.

Oh even I’m from Chennai…Dude,I have some friends who study in Tamil Nadu Board schools, all of them say, “I 've scored 97%”…lol…they pick very very few students from the State Boards as far as I know, because its that easy to score.Unfortunately for you, there are so many State Boarders with scores as high as that.I’m CBSE though.

Ya I know! That’s precisely the problem with our system. I am a bit of a non-trad student thought. I did 2 years of medicine, decided it wasn’t my cuppa coffee n decided to go into administration full time. Maybe that turned the tables against me I am waiting for the appeals to open.
