I am definitely not someone who is ultra-talented in one subject; instead, im more of a balanced student (lowest year grade in high school is an 85)

I really wanna go to Tufts, so I am definitely applying there ED I
I know a couple of kids at Tufts, so Im gonna visit again at least 2 or 3 more times, spend a night, shadow the students to get a sense of their classes, and talk with professors in fields that interest me

If i dont get into tufts, my regular application list will probably include (keep in mind, im from MA): Wash U St Louis, Emory, Johns Hopkins, Harvard (cuz every decently good kid from our school applies), Cornell, Yale, Brown, UCLA, UMASS Amherst (good premed), University of Washington in Seattle, Baylor, Rice, UT Austin

Which ones of these, especially Tufts, do you think I can get into??
Plz help me, I promise to chance back

I am pretty sure you are in at Tufts
Although I dont see your logic in applying to a less selective school than the others you listed as ED…Im am sure you will get into Tufts RD no problem

The other schools you listed are much more selective than tufts, so apply to one of them ED

Tufts- match probably in
WashU- low reach, likely
EMory- high match, likely
Johns Hopkins- low reach, likely
Harvard- ???
Cornell- lowish reach, also likely
Yale- ???
UCLA- OOS but decent stats, likely
Amherst- low reach likely

You are applying to way too many, I would select 5 from that RD list and apply to those
You have a good shot at all of them, dont sweat it
Are you applying to any medical honors programs or just premed?

wenger402, right now im just looking at premed. Do you have any suggestions for medical honors program? Also, im applying to tufts ED because i’ve heard its getting increasingly harder to get in regular decision and i really dont wanna risk applying to a top school (for me) like Brown and Yale, not get in, and then struggle to get accepted into tufts. your thoughts?

If you want a good pre med college, then apply to John Hopkins. It has one of hte best pre med programs.

anyone else??

I don’t think you should have a problem getting into Tufts, especcially ED

your stats are pretty good. i think the thing holding you back is lack of school clubs but your outside of school clubs pretty much make up for that.
I honestly know very little about tufts but you look like you can get in with your stats.
I think that the schools you have the least chance of getting into are harvard, yale, & brown. you’re looking pretty good for the other ones
and i agree that you should narrow down your choices & def apply to Tufts ED, I’m sure you’ll get in

Chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/722855-chance-rising-senior-bit-long-but-ill-chance-back.html</a></p>

Your summers look really good to show that you want to be premed, but i would look into possible ECs relating to that area. Also, if science is your strong point, i would suggest taking the ACT to possible boost your score, even though it is pretty good right now. I think you’re in at Tufts, but because it’s a small school, you never know. Adding a couple ECs during the year could probably definitely get you in.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/724266-please-chance-me-stanford-others.html</a> thanks!!

I like johns hopkins as a school but i’ve heard baltimore is a sh**ty place and also im aiming for JHU for med school; also, the only other school im looking at as a possibility for ED is cornell, even though it has a very mediocre pre-med program. think i got a shot?

bumpbumpbumpbump, ill chance back

I totally agree wid on the JHU thing TAB92… I applied to U MN - Twin Cities and WA Seattle and got into both for pre med… im an intl student frm india so cant reely afford to spend 50k+ on BS when ive got like 12 - 15 yrs of reely costly education ahead… so i didnt apply to JHU, WU st louis… but ive heard tht st louis has the best pre med and is also a grr8 place to live…

haha you want to go to Tufts? you’re in, no problem! lol.

actually, since you posted this so long ago, have you heard anything from them?

[chance me back?](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/866589-chances-columbia-again.html)

GOod list of premed schools!
Here are my assessment of your chances:
Wash U St Louis- your numbers, while decent, are a bit low for WashU
Harvard- again, numbers
Emory- match
Johns Hopkins- numbers
Tufts- in
Amherst- in

For some of the state colleges like UW and UT Austin, I’d say you’re competitive in your own right but I’m just afraid they might lean heavily to in-staters. But you never know. You have great ECs, and your passion in medicine is early and seems true. Keep up the good work, and if you can, try to up your numbers (good decision to retake SATI)

looks like you have solid scores, very good sat IIs

although those numbers are not the best they are very good!!!

lean toward your essays in each college application, and try TO STAND OUT!!!

you have great stats! I think you’re a definite match for Tufts
