@Quijote did you get stride? My financial aid isn’t posted online. Maybe it will be at 6pm… Congrats to everyone that got in.
@Emanbouras yes, but also need-based aid as well. Both are up.
@ihihihi , merit scholarships are awarded to students regardless of whether or not they applied for financial aid. Scholarship info was sent at the end of last week via snail mail, but it also is available on the portal under the financial aid tab.
Is need-based up for anyone who did not get the STRIDE? Also, did anyone out there get the Zollman?
@redpoodles I didn’t get STRIDE, and my need-based aid isn’t online. Hopefully it will be on soon. I’m not sure.
Need based has been up for me a couple hours now, and I didn’t receive stride. It was extremely generous–the same amount as my in-state school that I received large scholarship to :).
Oh wow. I wonder why mine isnt up
My D was waitlisted, kind of surprised. That means she’ll be going to Bryn Mawr which she also loves!!
Accepted! So happy.
D wasn’t able to log on - something about her login ID and password not matching, and then she got locked out of the site. Calls to Smith’s IT Admin didn’t help - they said they had no authorization to help applicants - , so we’ll be in the dark until Monday morning, it seems. She’s frustrated.
D’s financial aid award is not available on line either, says it will come snail mail.
Can anyone post their financial aid award plsase
@Emanbouras that is strange. I wonder why hardly any one else has their aid? Did you turn everything in on time? I had all of my items in by February…
@GB1904 yes, i had everything in by February as well. Though I couldn’t submit 2014’s federal tax return because my parents haven’t filed it yet, i sent in 2013’s. But I doubt that that would be the reason. I’m thinking that maybe it’ll come by mail, hopefully.
Congratulations to everybody who got accepted!
I got accepted for ED1 to Smith and for me, the fin aids were all available right when I got accepted. Try going on to Bannerweb > Student Financial Aid Information > Student Financial Services Menu > Student Award Information > Select the aid year (2015-2016 Aid Year) and submit > and click on the Award Overview Tab. That’s where you should see all the information for your financial aid. If it’s not up yet, you should wait until Monday and then check again. (It might be different for you all though)
Depending on where you live, you’ll also get your financial aid information as well as other information in your “welcome to Smith” package which they’ll send through Snail Mail. It can take up to 2 weeks to reach you depending where you live.
For those of you who got waitlisted, it’s okay. Good luck to you all! Getting waitlisted is still a huge accomplishment considering the selectivity and increase in applications this year.
For those of you who got rejected, don’t worry. There are a lot of other great schools out there and your match is still out there. Good luck!
Also, for those of you who got accepted, there’s a closed group titled “Smith College Class of 2019.” Add the admins as your friend and she’ll add you to the group if you’d like!
Congratulations once again!
ACCEPTED. Fantastic financial aid package. Much better than MHC. Very little in the way of loans and full need met. Way to go!
@excanuck99 how were you able to see your financial package? I still can’t see mine.
@belugastar i still can’t see mine either. I’ve noticed that a few people are having this problem as well. We’ll probably just have to call on Monday.
ACCEPTED! And with very generous financial aid! I’m so so happy right now!
