Go to the student financial services page. it should be there. It’s not on the same webpage as admissions…
Is anyone attending the overnight smith college open house?
Deleted. I got confused with schools.
D would like to attend the overnight and most likely will…
Someone in the admissions office helped us overcome the portal glitch and D has her answer - Accepted. She’s very happy. She’s fortunate to have some good choices, and next week is going to make a run to the east coast to visit Smith, MHC and one or two others.
What will the link to check my decision look like? Like where will it appear? (As a transfer, I won’t know until Tuesday.)
@TiredQuibbler Yesterday, I received an email from Smith with the steps (after you log into BannerWeb)
a) Click on “Student and Financial Aid Information.”
b) Click on “Admissions Menu.”
c) Click on “View Application Status.”
d) Click “Fall 2015-2016” link under “Processed Applications.”
e) You will now see your name and address under “Application Summary.”
f) Click on the Decision Letter link in the Decision box.
Thanks, @JavaChick!

@marie1031 , maybe it would be more useful if we started a new thread for results?
Are we the only ones who do not have a financial aid package available for view in the portal?
@redpoodles a few people on the 2019 smith facebook page posted saying that they also cannot see their aid on banner web. I still can’t see mine either. So you’re not alone. I’m so anxious to find out. The financial aid office opens around 8 tomorrow. So I’ll probably call then. Good Luck
We do not have access to the financial aid award either, its the last link to making a final decision so I’m a bit anxious.
@Emanbouras let us know if you hear from the fa office!
They can’t process my aid until I send in the current year’s federal tax return. My parents still haven’t filed it :0
Did any of you who weren’t able to see your aid on banner web find out why?
Just got the “acceptance letter” in the mail but no finaid package. Apparently if they did not receive everything by 3/11 it can be delayed. We sent everything mid-February and it was processed by IDOC on 2/28. Everything was received by all schools on 3/11 except the non-custodial income taxes which were received on 3/14 and it looks like the W2’s were never received by Smith (although that is unlikely if every other school received them). I’m extremely frustrated right now…we’ve been waiting for this package for many weeks. At least an estimated award would let us know whether to sign up for the admitted students overnight and make travel arrangements.
@nepatsgirl i did not receive a financial aid package either. i submitted all my documents to the idoc in mid february and all the schools that i applied to that use the idoc received all of my forms without a problem. however, smith said that a page in my parents taxes was missing so they could not review all my documents to come up with a reward in time for when they mailed the letters. im also pretty frustrated since smith is my first choice and whether i attend largely depends on the financial aid package. my mom called them about an hour ago and they said that when an award is available they will email me to notify me to check bannerweb.
It was no fun having to use IDOC. That was my least favorite part of the whole college application process.
Same here ems124. I wish you good luck ! They just replied to say that they never did get the W2 forms from non-custodial and they can’t do an award until then. At this time, D is waiting to decide between Smith and one other college…Smith is a solid choice depending on finaid. In their defense, apparently the portal has mentioned this was missing since 3/23. We both know though that the W2 was included in the packet because all the other schools received it through IDOC, how can just one school not get it? D is calling her father while he is on vacation in hopes that she can somehow retrieve the forms and scan them to Smith. I sincerely hope the award amounts are not dependent on when the info is received. That would suck.
@NEPatsGirl I called earlier today and I was told that once they receive our missing financial aid requirements, it wont effect how much aid we receive.
