think this makes a case for that date as well.
Thank you so much! I applied regular decision as well. I’m very nervous/ excited to hear back from Smith
I was told decisions would be posted on banner web on March 20th. Can anyone confirm?
I’m pretty sure the confirmed date is March 27. If it was the 20th, they would have already sent out an email with more details instructions.
Most schools don’t send emails. While Bryn Mawr did, my daughter was accepted to Mount Holyoke yesterday without the school sending out any email in advance. They may mail decisions on the 27th, but they’ll probably release them online today. Last year the decisions were posted online on Friday, March 21. I’d be surprised if they weren’t out this afternoon.
financial aid went from under review to this (just noticed now)
I sent in everything. it says they still don’t have the trust sheet but I sent that in (I think twice actually)
General Information Award Overview Resources/Additional Information Terms and Conditions
Financial aid award information is not available at this time. You did not apply for financial aid, your financial aid application is incomplete or your award is currently under review. Please check requirements to be sure all materials have been received. If you have already submitted the outstanding requirements through the IDOC service, please allow up to two weeks for processing. Please do not resubmit documents, as this will delay the processing of your award. You can monitor the status of your application on BannerWeb.
If we don’t have a trust, were we supposed to send that form? Also, my thing changed too.
No, I think it’s fine. I don’t have a trust either, and it’s not in my required documents area.
We’ve had that message up for a few days. I think what’s happening is that these schools are aware that we’re all out looking for hints. In the past, the financial packages were sometimes posted before the admissions decisions, so they’ve just locked all of this down to avoid ruining the “surprise.”
Just called the admissions office and said that word on the street was that decisions were going online today. She said, Sorry but everyone will have to wait until next Friday. So, Tired Quibbler is right. Fasten your seatbelts for one more week of nailbiting.
I think they’ll be out today after 6pm on banner web. I went through this with university of Miami too, and admissions never tells you when they’ll be out. In fact, we were told they were not coming out for another week or two and they came out a few hours later.
I think it said March 27 in my daughter’s early write.
I noticed that this morning also. It was not this way last night when I checked. Maybe it means something, but maybe not? I just hope it means we will find out today, please.
@ZZSPOP you said she recieved notification about bryn mawr? Was it under regular decision?
Sorry, I should have been more clear. Tiredquibble said that Smith hadn’t sent a letter with instructions. What I said was that I wouldn’t read too much into that, because Bryn Mawr had sent out a letter indicating that decisions were coming soon, thought they won’t release decisions online next Wednesday or Thursday. They seem to like doing this on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mount Holyoke posted decisions last night without sending any kind of email in advance.
My daughter applied ED1 to Bryn Mawr, but was deferred to the regular pool. They released their ED1 decisions during a campus Hogwarts party. The president dressed up as Dumbledore, pulled the accepted kids names out of a sorting hat, and then called all accepted students to let them know the good news.
Tonight would make sense, since they released decisions on the 21st last year. My early write did say letters would be sent on the 27th, but colleges frequently release decisions ahead of time and even deny it when you call them on the same day (see WashU).
Smartass “SAT” question for very bright and well-qualified young women gnawing through their fingernails…
FYI: Last year Smith said they’d release decisions online on 3/21. They released them on…3/21.
The year before, they said they’d release decisions online on 3/22. They released them on…wait for it…3/22.
This year they said they’d release decisions online on 3/27. They’ll probably release them on…________.
And now you know why my daughter finds me obnoxious. BTW…I hope I’m wrong, because I’ve already gnawed through my fingernails.
For real, ya’ll are freaking me out…
But what if they changed it up this year to avoid crashing the server? Omg.
Since I’ve been following this issue, say five years, Smith has announced the RDs on the Friday of spring break…which is today. Just sayin’
@Bossf51 What time do they normally release the decision? After 5pm?
