You never know, maybe they are sending them out even later… MHC didn’t release theirs until almost 7:30pm EST yesterday
Always question your assumptions. While you you were looking for little things that would tip the school’s hand, your first assumption was that the admissions office wasn’t trustworthy and would be coy. My earlier point was that the admissions office at Smith has always released decisions on the date they said they would. Unfortunately, they’ve been pretty reliable on this one. So buckle in for another week.
did everyone get a newsletter from a smith alumnae about a month ago??
Hey! I know all of you must be super duper nervous about decisions. Good luck to all of you! As for when the decisions will come out, if it helps, I got my decision on the 12th of December (ED1) though we got it about two hours before they said they’d release it. But they posted that they’d be releasing results a few hours early, something like “Since you applied early, we posted the decisions early!” or along those lines. My guess is that the RD results will probably be out on the 27th March. Good luck again!

@ihihihi @rach131 I didn’t get it either, but I don’t think it means anything. I get transfer newsletters every now and again and they’re pretty impersonal. Also, if you received the email a full month ago, it is even more unlikely to indicate anyone’s admission decision; a Twitter post from Smith Admission said that they just brought applications to committee on March 9.
It’s never a good idea to read too much into little hints, you’ll all give yourselves aneurysms. We’re only six days away from knowing for sure, just relax until the day comes. 
Hello! I am an international applicant from Spain. I was wondering how many of you received a letter/an email from the office of admissions in which they told you the day they’ll let us know the decision.
I haven’t received that kind of emails, and so far I’ve received very few emails from this college (by the way, this fact is worrying me).
Well, the thing is that I’ve been looking up the admission notification date everywhere, and I came across this thread! So are you sure it’s March 27th? I’m so nervous! I’ve dreamt studying in America since I was a child 
@TiredQuibbler yes i dont think it would mean that much, but fyi, some people get early writes from Smith as early as February (those in the states), so I guess some of the applicants were admitted even before March 9??
@ihihihi Oh, they definitely selected students for acceptance before March 9. Based on what I’ve heard regarding Smith’s admissions practices, they read through all of the applicants’ submissions twice and in this process select the ones they are going to advocate for when they go to committee. Now I imagine that in these initial two readings, it is easy for them to identify the girls they definitely want to attend in the fall, so then they consult with each other to make a list of early writes. Afterwards, students who haven’t already been rejected or given early writes, are brought to committee where they vote on who gets accepted/wait-listed/rejected.
(^ Part of this is speculation based off of Smith’s youtube videos and the information they have on their website, but I’m pretty sure these are just standard admissions practices.)
Also, different applicants are in different categories and they receive different newsletters. I’m not sure what the difference is between domestic and international first-years, but all of the recruitment emails I’ve received have specifically related to my status as a transfer.
What has Smith said about the date on which decisions will be released for high school students applying to be freshmen?

Bannerweb is the Smith portal. You should have received an email after applying with a username (nine numbers) and a password. The email is titled “Your Smith College Application.” As nrnr29 said, you can see the decision at 6 pm EDT on the 27th.

Waitlisted, I’m really surprised. I was sure I’d get rejected after getting rejected by almost all of the other schools I applied to except 1.
