Prospective student with specific major interest

(Using Mother's CC account) I would like to look at St. Mike's this summer since the school year is going to be very busy but it's very important to me to get an idea of the computer science/information systems majors. I've visited a few colleges and found that if I can't talk to a Professor or at least a student in the programs then I really can't get a good feel for the college. I'm finding that the CS programs at liberal arts colleges can vary in quality quite a bit but I really like the small colleges. Is there a way to talk to a student or Professor about the programs this summer?

Yes there is! You should call Admissions to set up your visit at 1800-SMC-8000. After you know which day you are heading to campus you should email Professor Battig at mbattig@smcvt.edu or call him at 802-654-2758. Professor Battig is the department chair for CS and he is great about meeting with students.

Until then, you should check out our [Computer Science](http://www.smcvt.edu/academics/computerscience/) site to learn more about the department.
