Prospective Transfer Questions

One of my professor friends attended the Sewanee Writers Conference and fell in love with it and that love has passed onto me. I am considering Sewanee when I transfer in the near future, but I have a few questions.

The greatest issue that is blocking me from considering applying to Sewanee is the stories about the heavy hard liquor drinking and binge drinking.

I don't mind the occasional drink, but I am not a heavy partier or drinker, I got over all that very quickly in my first few months of college. Is the drinking that prevalent on campus? Is it easy to find a niche or activities outside of that drinking scene without sacrificing a social life?

Is Sewanee generous in financial aid? I am currently relying solely on needs based aid and would possibly do the same at Sewanee.

This leads to the next question, I am middle-to lower middle class, at least economically, would I be out of place at Sewanee?

Finally, since Sewanee is owned by the Episcopal Church is there a large Episcopalian population there? I ask because I am Episcopalian and honestly would like to be in good company haha.

what do you get when 4 episcopalians get together? A "fifth"(my family is also episcopalian and my brother has been accepted to Sewanee and probably will attend). No one forces you to drink against your will, but in an isolated environment with little to do off-campus, there are alcohol fueled entertainment venues. Sewanee is well-known for their generous financial aid, but there are a lot of well-heeled students who go there.
