Hello everyone, this is actually my first post on this forum! I'm currently attending SUNY Buffalo and am looking to transfer to RPI. I'm extremely determined to get into this school, there is really nothing I want more at this point.

I will be attending Buffalo next year and attempting to transfer for the Fall 2010 semester. As of right now:
High School: 82 average, so about a 2.6-7 or so I would think (My school didn't provide their GPA scale, if they used one).
First semester GPA: 2.7 (High school attitude doesn't cut it in college.)
Second semester GPA: 3.6

Next year, I will be joining some clubs and possibly getting a job, and plan on shooting for a 4.0 (or another 3.6-3.8 or so).

I'm just wondering if there is anyone that can shed some light onto what I should be doing to improve my chances at getting admitted to this great school.

I know exactly why I want to go there, what activities I'd partake in, what my major will be(computer science), what I want to do with my life as far as any college sophomore could envision, and that I want to go to Graduate School at RPI as well.

Thanks for any input!
