Prospective Transfer students?

so...have any non-international transfers gotten a letter yet?

Nope. I called the transfer coordinator yesterday and she said they still haven't finished making decisions.

geez...
this is a really drawn-out process. they keep pushing the decisions date back...
hopefully my letter comes before I leave for South America in June!...

who has any idea about when the notification of international transfer applications comes out?

still no idea please anyone here know by when all the decisions are gonna be out?

no one knows! not even peaches.

does it mean that there is possibility that no transfer will get accepted this year?

i doubt it means that. they were probably inundated with transfer applications and perhaps still overwhelmed with freshman admissions, since pretty much everywhere it was a record year for number of applications.
it is REALLY annoying, however, that they haven't sent out decisions yet. i was told that they'd be out by the end of april at first. at least they could send out some sort of update to all applicants: "we apologize for our lateness but rest assured decisions will be coming out soon," or something to that effect. seriously.

I read somewhere that Bryn Mawr is not taking any from the waitlists, is that true?

I don't have any official information on that topic - but one or two weeks ago our student newspaper reported numbers for the Class of 2012 (class size, ethnic and geographical background of students etc), which will be slightly larger than recent classes. I can only guess that the administration would have not released those numbers if they anticipated some significant waitlist activity.

Swarthmore posted numbers on its class of 2012 Swarthmore College | News | Swarthmore Admits 929 Students to Class of 2012
but is still taking people off of their waitlist.

Swarthmore's article is about the number of students admitted, while Bryn Mawr reported the number of students enrolled for the Class of 2012.

citrusbelt, I think you mentioned earlier how enthusiastic your D was about coming to Bryn Mawr. She is not on the waitlist, is she?

No, she was admitted RD and is attending. She had been thinking she would go to one of her other choices, but then she visited and loved it.

I was just curious because so many schools are taking hordes off of the waiting lists. I was wondering how Bryn Mawr got such a good yield compared to others. :)

Do you have a link to the article you spoke of?

The most recent articles online seem to be from May 1. I guess the editors were too busy with finals to post the latest issue of the BiCo-News. It was an extra-long "Goodbye Nancy J" issue.

I'll see if I can find a print-copy somewhere in my room...

Oh my god. Has anyone heard yet....good or bad?

I've got an email saying that decision has been forwarded to my address but my addresss has been changed. I've been calling adcom almost daily but haven't been able to get hold of any of them. have sent email saying that my address has changed. and have called them to let me know about the decision on the phone. but no response so far except peach valdes' automatic "out of office" reply. i dunno. what's going on. maybe the college officials are having busy time.

anyone heard from them about decision?
