I can’t even breathe comfortably right now. 
I really doubt that I’ll receive an acceptance tomorrow. Looking through old threads where girls with somewhat low stats got accepted bolstered my confidence, but now I realize that it’s so much more complicated than that. I’d feel a little better if my HS record was stronger and if my financial need wasn’t so high.
Ugh. What’s done is done. I just can’t stop thinking about the eminence of disappointment. (Venting online helps me because literally everyone in my life is rightfully sick of my self-pity lol.)

They’re need blind aren’t they?
They claim to be need-blind for 95% of applicants, but for 5% of us, need will be a factor in the admission decision. I just think with me being more of an “on-the-border” applicant in terms of merit, I could easily be affected by this policy.
ugh. I’m independent with high need but they consider parent’s income so I may not be?
Can a 18/19-year-old even be considered truly independent financially? Unless you’re like emancipated, they would probably look mostly at your parents’ finances.

Oh, that’s interesting. I’m not sure how that works at all. Either way, I don’t know why I’m even talking about such matters. Their decision has been made. I’ve just spent the last ten months with such constant anxiety that I can’t even help but vomit my words right now.

I just got my email, accepted! I’m absolutely ecstatic. Best of luck to everyone else. Also @meghanee stay optimistic I first applied to Smith as a senior and was wait listed but was accepted later in May. Unfortunately I couldn’t attend for financial reason. But anyways just remain positive, keep Smith updated with your activities and continue to show interest.
Do you think emails are going out in shifts?
I have yet to hear anything either. I hope that isn’t meaning bad news, or worse, I have to wait till the second run.

Rejected. Two schools left. One I doubt the other I can only hope.
If I get into none I’m a failure as this is my second year applying to schools after graduating CC.

@BeachSummerFun Please don’t think that way of yourself. Just by graduating from community college, you accomplished something that a lot of people don’t have enough endurance to do. Do not give up or think negatively of your successes.
