@liment highly doubt it
@liment I dunno, man. It really seems like it’s almost random, at least within your major. So, for example, all Foster admits might hear back at roughly the same time, but the ORDER in which they hear back is random.
Not sure academic merit, when you submitted your app or # of credits has anything to do with when you hear back. They get to you when they get to you. Lol
Did anyone else mail in their transcript instead of submitting it electronically? I wonder if that is why I’m waiting so long for a decision. Apparently people who go to WA CC’s are supposed to send their transcript electronically, but I didn’t see that until after I had already mailed it in.
I have no hope anymore though. I’m pretty much just assuming I’ve been rejected. I can’t believe it’s been 80 days since I turned my app in and still nothing.
Anyone else still waiting?
@snailshellz I’m still waiting as well. No mail, no transcript uploaded. Also, I mailed in my cc transcript and submitted my hs transcript. I don’t there really is problem.
When will the waiting just stop. Growing grey hair here.
@snailshellz Um, where are you seeing that WA CC students are supposed to send their transcripts “electronically”? How would that even work? There is no “electronic” sending of transcripts. There is a way you can order transcripts online at most schools, but these are still hardcopy transcripts that get sent out.
@qwertyytrewq2 “If you are requesting transcript to be sent to the admissions office for any Washington Community or Technical college, Western Washington University, Eastern Washington University, Central Washington University, University of Washington, or Washington State University, we will send them electronically. This guarantees direct delivery within three business days and is the preferred method for receipt of transcripts by these institutions.”

It’s also on UW’s website somewhere on the application.
Ah yes, here it is on UW’s website:
https://admit.washington.edu/Admission/International/Transcripts
"Washington State community college students should have their transcripts sent electronically. All other college transcripts should be mailed to the Office of Admissions or sent directly from your college or university to the UW. "
Anyway, just thought it was interesting. I wonder if it’s coincidence that all 3 of us are still waiting and all 3 of us also mailed in our transcripts.
I’m planning to call the UW admissions office tomorrow to confirm that they received my transcript. I’m sure they’ll be tight-lipped and super vague about it, but I’m still gonna give it a try.
Before the application deadline, I emailed the admissions office to ask them if they could let me know when they received my trancripts (I was a little worried that they wouldn’t get there in time). But the girl assured me, that if anything from our application was missing, they would email us and ask for the necessary information. Hope that eases your mind a little bit. I’m still waiting too!
Any general admissions receive their letter yet
FYI, as soon as you request transcript at your WA state CC it is automatically sent via electronic mail; there is nothing else for you to do. If they DO NOT have your transcript, they would contact you, otherwise its there, not to worry. Also update if anybody wonders, I still DID NOT receive the letter, even though all of MYUW features are unlocked and I already have my classes picked up, pending registration on Monday.
Eh, mine was weird because I asked for a couple copies in advance without specifying who I was sending them to. So I wrote in the mail address listed on the website once I decided that I would be applying to UW and mailed it in that way. I guess that UW probably would have contacted me by now if they hadn’t received it. Still, I’m heartbroken that I haven’t heard back yet, and I just can’t figure out why I haven’t received a yes/no yet. I guess it’s because I have been rejected.
My school sent mine in electronically and I’m still waiting!
@snailshellz I assume I got rejected too but we have to hope for the best! Maybe we’re one of those cases who doesn’t get their transcript loaded but still gets accepted via letter!
@Akeating My adviser told me UW Seattle was a safety school for me and that I was an ideal applicant. I can’t believe that I may have been rejected.
I guess advisers are often wrong. lol. This is heartbreaking tbh. I don’t even know what I’m going to do now.
@snailshellz my adviser said that too but I was never too confident with getting accepted haha.
Do you have a back up?
Also I can’t find any cases where someone got the letter but didn’t have their transcript load in past threads? Only people saying it has happened in the past… Which isn’t too assuring.
don’t despair yet, nothing is over… its only Wednesday. believe!
@snailshellz they should have sent you an email if they didn’t have your transcript. I highly doubt you were rejected. You had good stats and unless you can think of a specific reason as to why you should be denied, I really don’t think you have anything to worry about. They haven’t finished notifying people, some people won’t hear back til late November. Just because you haven’t heard anything doesn’t mean you were rejected. I have read in past threads that some people even received their letters before they saw their unofficial transcript load on myuw. If worst comes to worst and you did get rejected, sign up for the honors program at WSU or somewhere else. Where you get your degree doesn’t matter as much as what you do while you’re in college, and it would be a lot easier to get into honors at WSU or WWU than at UW. I understand where you’re coming from though. Although my transcript loaded, I have been sad the entire day because fact is I can’t go to UW if I want to get the degree I want. You aren’t alone! >:D<
@Leibnizzzzz I’m kind of in the same boat! I for sure won’t get into the Computer Science program at UW Seattle so Bothell might be my choice even if I did get accepted to Seattle… Don’t want to do a lesser alternative just to attend UWS
@Akeating you’re going into computer science? That’s awesome! Two people on this thread have similar interests as me
But I know. I feel torn. I want so much to attend UWS, but it’s not worth it if I can’t get the degrees I want, and the degrees I want are both competitive and computer science only has like a 10% acceptance rate :-S
Im an out of state transfer student and my transcript hasnt loaded yet. (I get the error msg) Havent received anything in the mail either. some stats about me are:
-Applying with 85 units or so as a general admission applicant (but will later apply as a business major)
-Cumulative GPA 3.8, Business GPA 3.9
-From California
Got accepted to Ohio State University (55% transfer admission rate)
Interesting because UW has the same right? ~55%
Lets hope we hear from UW b4 thanksgiving. Or else i might consider going to University of Oregon as my backup
@jameson992 wow university of oregon such a great school my friend graduated from there and misses it lol
I’m coming from California too!
Good luck:)
