I applied for UW seattle for winter quarter and I am still waiting. Does anyone know when we can expect them to send our admission at the latest date possible? Thanks
@Seattlefc Tbh if you don’t hear back in the early part of next week, I would look into attending your back-ups or applying elsewhere. My adviser said that most people hear back through Dec. 3 or so and not a whole lot of people hear positive news after that point.
UW has been really late with decisions this year though so you never know.
I never got a yellow envelope as described on the website and in past threads, just a big packet saying “welcome to the pack” on it with a purple folder inside that has the “I accept” form in it, dated Nov. 23. Did anyone else just get a packet and not a letter? I thought you were supposed to get both… yikes lol

Congrats to everyone who got in! I’m currently a Sophomore at Bellevue College (outside of Seattle for those who don’t know) and was wondering if I could get some tips as the Autumn 2016 app opens in less than a month!

UW accepts roughly 53% of WA CC transfer applicants. Your chances are best if you have 90 credits/full AA by the time you transfer. Your chances improve if you have greater than a ~3.5 overall GPA, but plenty of people get in with less. UW is big on the ‘holistic’ admissions so the essay is probably more important than GPA in terms of admission. Write a killer essay, making sure that you answer all the questions they ask you to answer on the app, and with a good GPA and 90 credits you can be pretty confident that you will get in.
I would also advise that you start working on the essay now or at least think about what you’re going to write. It takes time to come up with insightful/thoughtful answers to all their questions, so don’t procrastinate on that since it’s arguably the most important part of your app.
There’s really no “tips” other than that as this is a pretty simple process. Do the work, make decent grades and you’re good! UW tries to make it complicated though by forcing their applicants to wait 20 zillion years to hear back!!!
I found that it says that there is “no record” in my admission and unofficial transcript.

I also wonder that anyone know about the priority for CC students.
If I got in UW first and apply for Foster later, will I have less chance to get in Foster?
Or, should I stay in CC and apply UW and Foster next period?
Will Foster give more priority for CC students than UW students?

also, I found that the transcript returns “500 - Internal server error” as well as the admission returns “Thank you for applying for admission to the Seattle campus of the University of Washington for winter quarter 2016…”
