@liment Who knows, honestly? My packet said that I must respond by Dec. 14, so it’s possible there will be another batch around that time. My adviser said that most students hear back by Dec. 3 at the latest, so if you still haven’t heard anything by now you should contact UW admissions. Of course they will probably just give you a generic answer, but I’d be hounding them if I were you!
I think they are waiting to hear back from the students that have gotten acceptances to see how many spots they can fill. I don’t know though since nothing about this process makes sense. LOL
@snailshellz@Akeating … Was Dec 15th the only option? I have a final session then so that’s no good for me. Still “not eligible” as of a few minutes ago. Hope it’ll process later today, I sent form from Lynnwood a week ago, last Tuesday.
@BillyReuben I believe @Akeating is right, the dates change depending on which A&O you sign up for. I registered for the “Environmental and Biological Sciences” session this morning and Dec. 15 & 16 were available.
On a side note, if you had a pre-existing UW NetID before getting your admissions offer/acceptance, you’ll have to go back in and “re-sign up” and edit your status to include “UW Student” as well as enter your PAC code (found on admissions paper), so that you are able to sign up.
I sent my fee in last Monday and I couldn’t sign up until this morning because I didn’t edit my UW NetID to include current UW Student.
@kedillor yeah I got my aid offer two weeks ago. IIRC you’re out of state. UW doesn’t give much if any aid to OOS students, just the purple and gold scholarship
@chanuw I just googled “UW net id” and clicked the first link that says “Get your UW NetID”.
Then choose the first option that says you already have an ID. It will ask you if you know your login and PW. If you do, it’ll redirect you to confirm your identity and should allow you to change it there.
@chanuw no problem! are you applying to the environmental or bio science orientation? I think the dates depend on which orientation you’re interested in.
@sonicnation95 I registered for the undecided orientation but checked all the other orientation dates and only got the 29th. I’ll probably end up emailing them later today to ask about dates or something. It’s weird cause I talked to a friend who registered after me and got the 15th for his orientation.
Got it; it finally loaded. My Tuesday final is at 6 pm, so, meh… what the heck… I did Dec. 15th.
I was getting annoyed for the last 7 days because after over two months of dealing with the error message on the transcript load the last thing I want to do is wait. Let us in, UW!
I wonder if the dates change per which field of Study you sign up for?
