Prospective University of Washington, Winter 2016 transfers?

@dawgcho93 hey thanks so much! that means a lot :slight_smile:

@snailshellz Did you submit the NSEOF before receiving info about financial aid? I don’t want to pay them $300 to find out later on I won’t have enough aid or loans to cover the costs…

So far I received the “Welcome to the Pack” envelope with just basic info and the NSEOF form. No info on financial aid

@jadey138
So what is your plan? Will you go to UW Seattle in general? Or just reapply for next Fall for UW Seattle general and Foster?

@dubsup yes I did. I got an email about my aid situation the night that my transcript loaded. If you go to your unofficial transcript page, in that big collection of links above there should be a “financial aid” link that will tell you everything. If they received your application, there should be something in the financial aid link about “we have received your application” and depending on whether they have awarded you aid or not it will say that as well.

@nicoli $25?? I thought the deposit was $500. Does anyone know how common it is for winter transfer students to get housing?

@liment hi, not the deposit. It’s an application fee. I don’t have anything reserved, I’m now on a (probably long) waiting list. I have no idea, but they took my money and that means something.

All I really know is that my transcript loaded and it says I’m a Junior. I like that part! Not knowing anything else, I don’t like that part.

Anyone accepted with a 3.2 or lower GPA?

@shawksfan
I will get in in general major first. How about you?
If you want to join, we can contact by email~
Do you know what class can take if you already completed prereqs courses of Foster?

@jadey138
I’m planning to go to Milgard, but I’m not sure. Since my WSA test was too low, and I applied to Foster twice already. I’m just worried what if I can’t get in Foster and then what? So many consideration now

I have a quick question about housing… I don’t know anything about apartments or dorms around UW Seattle, but where’s the best and cheap place to buy?

@snailshellz Okay thanks. I need to call them I think. I did FAFSA for them like in Jan I want to say but it says they haven’t awarded me aid yet. I’ll call them tomorrow

Where, if at all, has anyone been assigned housing? I’m pretty curious on how that works

@dubsup I applied for housing yesterday and today they assigned me to Terry Hall which I believe is the one they took down last year to rebuild.

I’m having trouble getting my MedPass account to verify my vaccinations :frowning: Also for anyone wondering, the orientation dates that are still open are 22nd and 29th.

Hey for those of you that have received your acceptance letter… I’m not really sure what to do now? LOL… I sent in the “I accept!” form this morning and everything so do I just wait? Or… And when I tried to sign up for an orientation date it wouldn’t let me?! I’m such an amateur lol will someone help me :frowning:

Did you get your packet and letter at the same time? I’ve been waiting for mines in the mail every day since my transcript loaded up this saturday. God… why does UW have to send in acceptance so late. :(( stressing out to turn all of the fafsa paperwork and get the required classes needed

Hey guys!
You can see your admission decision if you click on "Transfer Application: winter quarter 2016 " under the Undergraduate Admission Application (Myuw).

Also, where did you find out about the orientation?

@ddhwang89 Me too. My transcript loaded on Saturday and my admission decision changed to “Congratulations!” on Sunday and been waiting for the acceptance letter since Monday… I’m thinking of mailing my “I Accept!” Form before it gets to me…I want to register asap because I don’t really know much about the areas in Seattle :confused:

@aude15 hey thanks for that tip, I had not checked! It is NICE to see the Congrats message!!! First time I’ve seen it in print and so I can feel a bit more assured it’s actually happening. Wow UW, what a wild ride and we’ve only just met. What could be next!

@dawgcho93 So I actually went to the campus today. The registration office told me that they sent my package in the mail Monday morning. It’s probably best to send in your “I Accept” form and I’m writing a deferral for the 300 dollars as that’s what the First-Year Programs suggested for me to do. I hope this helps, also I believe they told orientation dates left are 22 and 29th of this month.

Im from Cali, im still waiting for a response. Is that weird??? Its almost the end of December and i got nothing

@ddhwang89 Oh I see. Mine might arrive tomorrow or by this Friday by the latest so I’ll probably send it tomorrow morning or something. And I don’t think I heard anyone writing a deferral for 300 dollars on NSEOF… does deferral help more?
