<p>What is a better school academically? I'm not talking about one specific major, but acadmics as a whole.</p>
<p>For engineering or science, RPI is better. If you want to major in humanities/arts/social sciences - then Providence is probably better.</p>
<p>I agree with the above poster – both are fine schools and it depends on what you want to study. I also suggest that you should visit the schools and see which environment you’d be happier in – that is also an important part of choosing a college. Providence is a Catholic school and RPI is a technology oriented school so they will attract different students.</p>
