Hi guys! So I just received an email from CSULB saying that I have been offered provisional admission for pre-nursing major. So does that mean they’ll tell me the final decision after they receive my final transcript? Do you guys know if the final transcript is due by July 15th (send by the school counselors if I’m not mistaken)? And how will I be able to SIR to long beach if I don’t know whether I’m actually admitted or not?
I had a 3.7 cumulative gpa when I applied and as of right now I have 4.1 so if I keep my grades up, what are the chances for me to be officially admitted?
UCR (biology) vs. CSULB (Pre-Nursing) Which school would be more competitive and impacted?
Yes, I believe you are actually admitted. Congrats! Usually your admissions letter will have the details to retain your admission. Often just completing the classes your said you were taking with no D or F. And your self reported grades have to be correct. See page 4 here

Check what conditions you need to meet when you complete your senior year in high school. They may specify making a certain GPA in previously reported in-progress course work, with no D or F grades, for example. Your final high school transcript will be used to verify that. Note that for students currently in high school (or transfer applicants with in-progress college courses), all colleges’ admission offers are provisional based on what the colleges consider satisfactory completion of previously reported in-progress course work.
CSULB pre-nursing students must complete the prerequisites with a 3.0 or higher GPA with no grade lower than a C in order to be eligible to be admitted to the nursing major. However, admission is competitive, and typical admits have 3.5 or higher GPA. See http://web.csulb.edu/colleges/chhs/departments/nursing/docs/Pre-NrsgDegreeProgressAdvisingGuidelinesrev3-13-13.pdf
