I’m a transfer student and I just found out I’ve been provisionally admitted to CSUN. I’m not sure what that means though. Does that mean I just need to pass my classes and I’m fully in? I’m confused because I know some people also transferring there who were already accepted before me but they dropped one of the classes needed for their major. I’m pretty sure I’m passing all my classes though. Can I register for classes already even though it’s just provisional admittance?
all students are provisionally admitted to college. They accept you before you have finished the current semester. If it was an iron-clad no-reversal admit then you could go out and drop all your classes and still be in. As CSUN says
The latter part just says that you aren’t actually a CSUN student until you’ve enrolled and started attending.
So look at the letter and see what the conditions are. Is there a GPA requirement? Do they require you to notify them if you drop classes? If you’re not sure then contact CSUN admissions.
