for some reason my ps3 can't connect to the dorm's internet very well at all... i have a wireless router and a hub (if that matters) i tried both getting internet straight from the jack into the router and connect that with ps3 and connect my router into the hub then use my ps3 from that, tried both wired and wireless and nothing seems to be working... my internet works for sure since i have no problem getting internet on my macbook and my roommates macbook pro but when I use my ps3 it logs me in at times then disconnected me within 5 minutes.... anyone else having problems/ knows solutions? i live in sproul btw if that matters at all...

yea im having the same problems also. all the laptops in my room have no problems connecting to the router wirelessly, but the ps3's connection is erratic

Yeah, I think resnet's been pretty unreliable these last few days.

When I first tried using my consoles I had to deal with some stuff with the MAC address with the IT people. Try asking them if it's still necessary to register your system's MAC address.

but this year they stopped asking for mac addresses... on the website it just said the system should work after you plug it in... but it is giving us a lot of trouble...

kick53rv3,

Oh, in that case I don't know. Good thing they stopped doing the MAC address thing, though. That was a pain!
