i got 30 for the wheel also

ooo and yes, it was 3 because f(3) = 0 = g(2)

thanks - but for the sympathetic understanding question, what was it asking exactly? how the author of passage 1 felt about these ppl? or the author of passage 2?

paragraph answers???

I had troubles with the African wildlife conservation passage in CR. Anyone else find themselves unable to put definitive answers for many of the questions?

acissej: yay! thank goodness, that was the one that I stared at for like a min at the end not knowing whether to leave blank or guess!! Wooho! Thanks

the sympathetic question is asking how english sticklers would respond to the things that happened to other english sticklers, like standing in line and seeing the incorrect sign. they have sympathetic understanding

I remember “righteous indignation” being choice (A) for the question about the Grammar Police.

What did you guys get for the writing question about the workers going on strike

B - the really wordy one

Yes! I got A for Math. Oh and also, how many no errors did you guys get total for Writing? Everybody was saying there were only 3 Es, but I got 2 =/. I remember one of them was the police one talking about language or something. Do you guys remember if the Greek one was No Error? The one talking about the myths.

for the striker, I put the wordiest answer (maybe not a good idea) but it was the best one, it was :the changes, like something or other, angered the workers so much that they are not threatening a strike

or something to that effect

yeah I thought the African essay was really hard…

there was a question like, which of the following would refute the statement “the future of the african conservationisnt movt relies on the afutures of western conservationist other than africans”

I put “many leading western conservationist taught african natives how to conserve”

ugh, the greek myth was the “attempting to” not attempting in- that’s a idiomatic error…and I Think I got 3 ne as well

i got in explaining for the greek one b/c i thought it shoulda been to explain or at explaining

did u get a long sentence starting with but for the paragraph question about which one is best inserted at the beginning of a sentence?

yeah I think so, personally, I didn’t feel like the paragraph was that hard but maybe that means I didn’t get it - ugh!

u put A for the refute question?

45fly- i think that the answer to that was “many africans participated in the constructino of their own parks” i think it was A, but maybe not…

Yeah, I thought the African wildlife passage was kind of hard. :/

I put the answer about Africans participating too though.

i put a for the refute

yunsang:
I got two no errors on writing, including the police using native american languages as secret code.
The Greek myths one definitly had an error: It should be “attempt to explaining”, instead of “attempt in explaining”.
