okay so for math section 2 number 2… what was the answer? wasn’t it 5 (E) i feel really stupid asking this but i was driving home and i realized that i may have misread the question.

And what did you guys put for the grammar question where they started the sentence with “That”… i said that “That” was wrong… how about you guys?

it was definitely note an obstacle… it was talking about the sense making doing something difficult

i have all of the math free response answers memorized if someone wants to talk about them, and i have a ton of CR and writing answers memorized as well… acute memories ftw (acute was an answer)

somber and wry was definitely an answer

for the writing, i really disliked the Lorraine Hansberry one and the Bach “correct the sentence” one

I feel like I focused too much energy on CR… Writing is usually my strongest category and I felt like it was harder than expected Only one wrong in math so far, so that’s nice.

for the last correction for writing i put came.
because the sentence never implied that it was talking about past visitors. So it shouldve been comes.

math
7 question was 819 basically 9 times 9 which is 81 pluss 100 minus whatever from 1000.

last one was a guess from me. i put 4?
and the circle one was 60 even though i put 45 sigh.

I feel really good about my PSAT score. I think I make National Merit.

PlanetFruitcake: I asked my AB teacher about the math ones I wasn’t 100% on and here they are
1- How many Positive integers less than 1000 don’t have 7 in any digit.
It’s probability. Count up the numbers one through one hundred that have 7. You get 19.

Multiply times nine, because there are 9 hundreds places. Subtract from 1000 and you get 729.
I ommited this one.

2-Points A,B and X Dont all lie on the same line. Point X is 5 away from A and 3 away from B. How many other points in the same plane as A,B, and X are also 5 Units from A and 3 units from B.
I said none. I’m not sure how to justify this logically, but hey.

4- In the XY plane the line with the Equation AX+BY=1. Where A and B are constants intersects the Y axis where Y=2 (i think). What is the value of B.

I solved for x, substituted, and eventually got 1. Not completely sure, so I’m glad it’s a student grid in.

@kklatte sorry i just remember that it was a grammar question that began with “That(A) , ___.” sorry i really can’t remember anything else.

I feel silly asking, but how soon after scores are sent out will you know if you’re a National Merit Scholar? My practice test score was a 221 so I’m hoping.

Ohh! I know which one you’re talking about… I said no error. I hate those types of sentences but couldn’t find a reason why it actually was wrong…

Ahh yay! No error for Bach? I read that sentence like, 15 times… it sounded so awkward and ugly and I had a major personal problem with the “for” near the end but ended up guessing no error. Sweet.
