Does anybody remember the question for the cylinder problem?

Weren’t the base of the first cylinder 15 pi with 4 inches of water and the base of the second cylinder 20 pi with 2? of water?

They were pouring water from the first to the second. So, the total volume in the first container is 15 pi *4 = 60 pi. And, 60 pi / 20 pi = 3?

Since everyone got 2.5, I feel like I had misread the question, but still…I was wondering if anyone remembers the question exactly.

Also, for the analogy: binoculars question, was the answer just “analogy”…I don’t remember seeing bionculars :(

Oh and I put it after sentence 8 for the last writing question…because the writer talked about what changes were made in sentence 8. And, the inserted sentence was like “People could …blah blahblah”

I put rueful confession, but I guessed on that one :[[

@helloimjoon

The cylinder problem asked to what height the water in the 2nd cylinder (base area 10pi) would change if water from the 1st were dumped into the 2nd such that they had the same volume. 1st cylinder had base area 5pi or something and the height was 6 in initially, while 2nd cylinder had base area 10pi or something and initial height of 2 in. That means that if both cylinders were to have the same volume, they’d have to have 25pi in volume. so in order for the 2nd cylinder to have a volume of 25pi, it’d have to have a height of 2.5 in the end, because the base was 10pi.

also, it’s definitely after sentence 5 for the last writing question. sentence 5 briefly discussed the changes that gruen made to the strip mall by creating a large building with shops. The sentence in question would’ve gone more in detail as to how it was different from the strip malls discussed in the first paragraph.

ohhh did the question ask about the height of the second cylinder when the volumes of both cylinders are equally distributed?

Why is the answer to the question about what “dark” means in the passage ominous instead of concealed?

lol sdy…if the dark side. was “concealed” then how would the author know about it?
clearly not…it’s the dark side as in a more threatening or bad or evil or malevolent side of the advances of technology. Because the government is going into our records and invading our privacy…clearly that is not a concealed side…because we know the government is doing that. It’s more of a bad or dark part of it which = ominous.
