Does anyone remember the question asking why Mo repeated “it’s not a popularity contest” or am I just imagining that that was a question? lol that was definitely a question i think i said it was cause he felt the students likd duncan more [ /quote]

Same thing here. I wonder if the person who started this thread really had the right information.

Was it 35?

It was 30-something…

If you are talking about the cutoffs for this year’s PSAT administration, ask me in a year ;).

lookin like i got above a 210!! YES!!! OMG thank you everyone

thanks, guys. i completely agree that the students liked duncan more was the answer, unfortunately i missed it and couldn’t fix it before time was up. -5.75CR unless the shrewd judge one is true, ugh.

the math one at the end was A. 35(pi)r

Here’s the test in a nutshell for me.
Writing: Thought I did pretty good, but I missed the last question because I put that instead of no error. Also, I think I got 3 no errors. One was the yoyo and two in the identifying sentence errors one. But I’m not completely sure about this so I might have gotten two.
If I didn’t do as well as I think I did I think my raw score would be 37/39

Math: Answered every question but the venn diagram one because I kept on getting 30. Stupid mistake :frowning: Normally I answer every question but miss one or two with silly mistakes. I was able to check my work on the first half of the first section. The only one I remember not being confident about was the roman numeral one. If someone could post the question that would be great.
If I didn’t do as well as I think my raw score at minimum I’m guessing would be: 36/38

CR: Murdered me. I don’t even know what to say about this section. Except normally I do really well on the passage based questions. I’ve taken a lot of exams and this one was the absolute worst.
Probably -5 -4

Maybe made national merit if I got lucky but considering the state I’m in. Totally going to be praying a lot between now and December.

Can someone please post the ROMAN NUMERAL MATH QUESTION?

What do you guys think the curve is going to be like? I’m hoping on the Critical reading it’ll be lenient because it seems that a lot of people didn’t do as good on it as they would have like as compared to last year.

In fact, this thread last year was only a couple of pages long and this year there are two threads about the same thing both nearing 30 pages…

What was the question where it was like y<x<0. i put 1,2, and 3

^^IDC
I copied them as CC said them from the General Discussion thread. I said “This is what CC has to offer so far”. Obviously, we’ve been debating the questions for thirty pages; things are bound to have changed.

^Then it was 35, not 36. I remembered wrong.

Consensus at 35(pi)r then?

okay i think i missed like 2 questions in CR o_o but i lost alot in math so…and writing i dont even know

I feel like I missed at least 5 on CR, 2 on Math, and at least 3 on Writing.

Also, can anyone explain the venn diagram one to me? I kept getting 30. Why is it 28?

Yup, and roman numeral one was I, II, and III

It was because in the Venn diagram, the very center section would have had numbers that were integers between 10 and 100, were perfect squares, and were multiples of three. 36 and 81 would have been removed from your 30 and placed into this category, making the answer 28.

30
Minus 36 (a perfect square), so 29.
Minus 91 (a perfect square), so 28.

For the math roman numeral question I got I, II, and III. Correct me if I’m wrong:

If x < y < 0, which of the following are true?

I. x+1 < y+2
II. 3x < 2y
III. x/y > 0

That makes sense.
Thanks!

I’m getting one, two, and three. Pretty sure that’s what I bubbled as well. WOOO :)

I’ve heard that they throw out questions they feel were worded poorly, do y’all know if this is true? I know it is for the SAT but I’m not sure about the PSAT.

@Amyga
I think they’ve done that once in what, ten years? Don’t count on it.

I hope my PSAT score is right above it.

Cue Lil’ Wayne and Drake :D.
