PSAT 2011 Wednesday General Discussion

Nervous! I have to take it in about a half an hour. I’m reaching for a 170 (low for CC, I know). My cutoff is 220 so there really isn’t any chance that is happening.

Wish me luck … 230+ or bust!

should I drink coffee like about an hour before the test…or is that a bad idea??

LET’S GO GUYS.
Take this down.

Just took Form W…not too bad! I think I got a 175+ without much studying at all. The math is going to kill me, I swear.

Oh, and my proctor didn’t time us. So, I had to time myself with a seat with a terrible view of the clock. He just said to go for it. I almost tackled him.

I live in Europe and I just took it this morning (Form W). Glad it’s done and over with. I thought I did pretty okay; I found the first critical reading section most difficult (perhaps because I couldn’t concentrate) and the math surprisingly easy. I’m hoping for a 220+.

Just finished. Are we allowed to talk about the questions now?

I think I did fine

Don’t discuss details yet as students in other time zones might not have taken it yet.

In the earliest time zone, Pacific/Mountain(Non DST), it is already 8:30, so everyone has either started or finished the test.

When do we get our scores back? I’m already dying to know what I got…

December ^

December what? Early? Mid? Late?

Early December

Just finished. Are we allowed to talk about the questions now?

Let’s say I got a 2300, which should qualify me for National Merit. Will I find out in February/March 2012? And then, do I have to apply or anything, or does everyone with scores above the cutoff automatically get some level of distinction?

National Merit cut off differs slightly by state- usually 221-ish qualifies you as a finalist.

THE WRITING…
prohibit to or from ?
