PSAT/ACT even maybe an SAT?

I've generally been doing better on the ACT than the SAT in practice tests. I've gotten two straight 35s on practice ACTs and around 2180-2220 on SAT practices. That being said, I received my PSAT scores this week and got a 2350. I assume this is about equivalent to a 35 on the ACT. I had maybe five hours of tutoring for the SAT before I decided to take the ACT then had about two hours of tutoring for that.

I took the ACT yesterday and feel like I got a 34-35. Thus, I have a couple cross-test questions:

1: If I did worse than this on the ACT and I take it again, do schools see my other ACTs or just the best one?
2: Should I also try to take an SAT given that I did well on my PSAT?
3: Is there anything I should do with my PSAT score? i.e. National Merit Scholar, I don't really understand how that works or if I would be eligible.

Thanks!

I can’t answer 1), but for 2) and 3), all the answers are in the book “Official Student Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT” that you should have gotten when you registered for the PSAT. p.5 says April 50,000 high scorers are identified. If you got a 235 on the PSAT, you will be in this group. In Sept 2010, 16,000 of those become semifinalists. You should be one of those. Then you have to do some things (see blue box p.6) including an application. YES, you should take the SAT as that appears to be a requirement to become a NM finalist.

Oh, you do need to be a junior in HS and a US citizen too.
