I didn’t want to piggyback on the other testing discussion. My daughter is a junior. She will be Taking PSAT (Illinois) in October. She wants to take the ACT because she likes it better, It appeatrs the only time she can take it is also October, a couple weeks after the PSAT. Should she do it? On a side note it’s mandatory to take the SAT in April.
The tests are a little different. If she has time to prep for both it should be fine. Are there no other times in her whole junior year she could take the ACT?
Illinois became an SAT her Freshman year so she knows the test. She could took it this September but there is a conflict with that day. Possibly early 2019 may work.
February 9th might work. I was thinking October originally in case she wanted to take it again
The ACT is offered on December 8 and February 9th as well. Should be enough time to retake if she wants later in April, June or July.
