I got it, score of 211.

I’m guessing a 213 is too low for NY nmsf…

I hear the cutoff for 2014 is 203. Does that mean you need to get a 204 to be at least commended? or is it 203?

^ I believe that mean 203 or above.

when do we hear? In my state everyone is on vacation… so I assume when we get back?

My son’s score is above the 203 cutoff for this year’s commended but he still hasn’t heard from his school or received a letter from the national merit scholarship corp. Have many of you already heard from your schools or gotten a letter?

RenaissanceMom, they only notify schools now and we have not been notified by our school either. from other boards, several other people are in our boat too. i plan to make sure school at least got letter from NM as there may be some other problem if they did not.

We finally heard from our son’s school just this week. I knew from his score (221) that he would be in the top scorers, but it was still good to get the “official” word!

When should the official cutoff for commended scores be announced?
