I'm a senior taking the SAT this saturday. I took the CR section from this years official PSAT test and got 3 wrong which equates to a 74. Does this spell good things for me come test day?

Yes I have taken official tests too, I just want to know if this is really easier.

i don’t know, i got a 57 freshman year, 76 sophomore and 800 on the real thing.

i think that they’re all relatively the same level of difficulty, to be honest.

BUT of course, you’ve gotta weigh in the factors: you’d probably do a lot better on the SAT because there are more questions, or maybe you’d do worse b/c of the more questions. ANYWAYS! what i meant is that both tests are of varying length, so the scores may be slightly different

Oh my god. Are you serious? Rfern is enough to convince everyone that the SAT doesn’t measure intelligence. at ALL. First of all, why would the PSAT be any easier to the SAT?! The NCSM takes the SAT as an alternative for those who missed the PSAT, meaning they’re practically the same thing. The PSAT just has FEWER QUESTIONS- Just because you lucked out and managed to do well on one PSAT doesn’t mean that the PSAT is any easier or harder. Were that passages by Dr seus? Was it an excerpt from charlottes web? Did the questions ask you “Whats the first word of the passage”? You ruined my day.

You’re hallucinating. I scored 300 points higher on the SAT than the PSAT. Really? the math’s "A LOT EASIER? So the NCSM is unfair then. We ought to sue them for letting kids take the SAT to qualify for the scholarship. Read what you just typed and tell me if it makes any sense. This is ridiculous.

And there are people who score 200 points lower on the SAT than their PSAT. You probably took the SAT after the PSAT. The math is without a doubt easier and the writing is also a little bit easier. Kudos to you if you think differently.

I find it funny when people think they are great and stuff, but in reality they aren’t much better than the people that they are criticizing.

Just because the SAT is used as an alternative to the PSAT does not mean it is the same difficulty. The SAT is still harder clearly. The people who take it late should not expected to be treated to the exact same conditions.

And the official PSAT practice test given out by CB is notorious for being inaccurate. I got beat by 2 people on that practice test, but come test day, I beat them by over 20 points. None of us did any studying either. The test is very inaccurate, so I wouldn’t get your hopes up too high.

But anyways, a 74 is definitely a good sign, but it does not mean you will score a 740 or even a 700+ on the real test. The tests are different in many ways, not just over the material tested. Some people do better on short tests where they don’t get tired, while others do better on longer tests where there is more room to make stupid mistakes and not have them kill your score.

Oh the hypocrisy. Whatever. My point is that these tests are very similar, you can’t say whether one is harder than the other. Some people score higher on the PSAT than on the SAT and vice versa. You do not speak for ETS and neither do i, but its safe to assume that the difficulty is very similar because the NCSM is fine with students taking the SAT as an alternative for scholarship qualification. There, i hope that clear things up for you guys. I see that the crack hasn’t done you any good kho, should’ve taken my advice.

You’re right Kho, I’m not really typing what im typing. Im a bot and my programmer’s actually not as smart as i am in RL. Seriously.

Stop before you get pwned any worse. I think you have earned a reputation on this forum as someone not to be listened to already. Don’t earn the reputation of someone who should just simply be ignored/flamed.

Pwned? Earned a bad reputation? I’m gonna cry. You’ve already had your fair share of getting “pwned”. Btw, what is you’re reputation on this forum kho? Who cares about you(Shiomi only counts as half a person)? My point exactly. I’m not afraid of being ignored, you and shiomi will always reply to my posts with whatever the hell you guys reply with.

Uh huh If I only count as half a person you must be a tenth. Seriously now, just because I disagree with your opinions you’re going to hold a grudge against a me. If you notice my posts to this thread, you will see that I was merely stating my opinion on the matter, which this guy was asking for. I’d love to see the type of person you are in real life.
