PSAT critical reading questions!!!!

tepid and reticent were from two different problems I think.

oh ok thanks anyways man i guess i should stop trying to think about my score and just wait and see

bleh, i was not sure about provincial charm vs. isolation... but based on what people have said i guess isolation is wrong. and the calligraphy one was definitely hard, i ended up picking "transmit a skill that's hard to learn" one since punishment was really only mentioned in one paragraph, and the overall idea was to teach her daughter.. right?

when do we get our scores back?

sometime in december

ugh... I cant wait that long!

def. provincial charm was an answer

got couple wrong on vocab, but i feel i did better than i thought on passage reading. does anyone remember any other questions?

Bilingual calligraphy Passage:

last question:

In lines 65-72, the Mom's primary goal is to?

a) instruct
b) conclude a debate

i don't remember the rest of the answer choices.

ps: in line 65-72, the mom is telling the daughter how to write something, and then in the last sentence she says: "Do you see how Chinese letters make sense"?

something like that

lol you remembered the lines? i can't remember a single passage reading question.

i had some trouble with the last question as well, does anyone else remember the answer choices?

if papercrane feels like it, he may post his list of questions/answers. He has like 34 so far I think.

for the Mom's primary goal, i put instruct

and another question from that passage mentioned something about the daughter's exasperation and the mother's snort of disgust...and the answer is 'considerable frustration'??

what was the vocab sentence for tepid again?

yes its considerable frustration. sorry, don't remember tepid sentence.

Hey papercrane, can you please post all the PSAT reading questions that you have managed to accumulate.

What was the question in the space essay about COMCAST coming to life under "spacefarer pidgin". Can someone explain "pidgin"? I blanked for two minutes on the test trying to tie this world in with passage.

Did anyone who is Chinese think the calligraphy passage was a joke? I laughed when I read it and thought: "wow, that's mom without the calligraphy."

pidgin = mixed jargon basically

"an auxiliary language that has come into existence through the attempts by the speakers of two different languages to communicate."
