What is it? I'm dying to know. =/

I took the wednesday test: I got 3 wrong on math (1 was gridin), 0 on writing 4 on cr. Anyone want to predict my score?

I took the wednesday test: I got 3 wrong on math (1 was gridin), 0 on writing 4 on cr. Anyone want to predict my score?

I'll predict:

M: 73
CR:76ish
W:80

Total: 229

That is enough for NJ cutoff

Expect the cutoff to be around 223

it's usually around 221

my predition would be
M - 69
CR - 74
W - 80

when i took it my soph year, i got 2 wrong in math and got a 72

223

CR should be around 73, although math might be higher, I don't think it'll be as harsh as last year's.

mm, NJ is one of the highest states along with NY and MA, I think.

I'm pretty sure it was 222 this year for semifi. Usually the cutoffs go up year by year but who knows.

Agreeing with sr6622 on the 223 cutoff.

Yeah 76 on CR is a bit high

probably a 73...

in which case you would get a 226

im a senior right now in a NJ high school. LAst year's PSAT i got a 211 and got commended scholar. I belive the cutoff was 223 last year for semi-finalist.

Thanks for the replies. I think you misunderstood my cr score, though. I got 4 wrong, meaning that's a raw score of 43/48. So shouldn't my cr score be lower? Math I'm expecting a 70 at best, based on last year's curve (hopefully they're make it better).

223 cutoff? Wasn't it 221 before?

actually i think ur right. I cant remeber correctly :)

It was 222 this year in NJ. Second highest score-wise (there were 1 or 2 with 223).

And don't be surprised if you got more wrong than you think you did.

I know, I won't be. But I checked all the critical reading and writing questions. Math I might have made more stupid mistakes...let's hope not.

Last year's cutoff was 222 (three-way tie for the highest cutoff in the nation). The year before it was 221. I don't think it'll rise again to 223.

Math: 70ish
CR: 75ish
W: 80

We're probably going to get similar cumulative scores, since I missed one math and (probably) several CR questions.

Is everyone expecting a higher CR curve than usual? A -5 on the practice test is only 72 but the range here seems to be 73-75.

PSAT cutoff for 2006 graduating seniors: already raised to 222!
(i.e. those who took PSAT in 10/04).
Hope it doesn't rise AGAIN!

bumpity....

Woah, so 222 WAS the highest? I thought there was a 223 somewhere, but maybe that was last year...

anyways, making the cut in the hardest state makes you feel good inside :)

Why are you bumping this thread?

Hm, maybe I should invade. =D

1 wrong on math, 0 writing, 5ish CR.

That's around a 228 with 71 CR and 77 Math. ;)

Highest cutoff in recent years was 222 (NJ, MA, MD, and Americans outside the US)...
