PSAT index for commended and semifinalists in NJ???

<p>Does any one know what the cut off for commended and semifinalists in NJ was or will be? I'm sure there is a thread but I can't find it. Commended index is from across the US while semifinalists index goes from state to state, is this correct? What was it for NJ? I have heard that to make semifinals in NJ is very hard. Why???? Thanks for info .</p>

<p>Here is the site with the info. I guess NJ is so hard because we have so many high achieving kids. Who knows? It must be based on a percentile. </p>

<p>Thanks for the reply. Sounds like he'll be commended. Since we're in NJ he won't make semis. He will be able to list 2 school and have his scores sent. Do you think the Ivies or top LAC put a lot of weight in the score? I'm sure almost all kids who apply to top school score as well as mine has. Thanks</p>
