PSAT is really bothering me- If you miss one question you locse 2 point

Hi All:

There are 48 qns in CR, 38 in Math, 39 in Writing witha total of 125 qns. It appears that I have to be more careful in PSAT compared to SAT while taking the exam. I made one question wring in Math and the booklet says that I got 76.

Does any of you feel the same way? It is so frustrating when I am taking the writing section. I make 7-9 questions wrong and end up losing 14-20 points in that section.

I hope some one changes the xam format of PSAT one day. LOL!

Well the PSAT is a little more harsh, but that's because there are fewer questions. Though, missing 7-9 on the MC is a lot and it does make sense if you lose 14-20 points from missing that many.

I missed two questions on the PSAT, and missed 5 points total.

I missed one question on the SAT and didn't get a 12 on my essay, and didn't miss any points.

Don't sweat it.

i feel your pain. I got one question wrong on the writing section for the 2007 psat and got a 75...such a harsh curve.

The PSAT has a ridiculous curve (I got a 75 on writing with 1 missed question, 76 on math with one missed question), the SAT is much better though, so don't worry too much about it.
