<p>Scores that get you semifinalist ranking are based on state percentiles, so each state has a different breakoff point, but I think (off the top of my head) that your 194 is below all of them.</p>

<p>commended is a national score, which I believe was 203-204. The NMSF are calculated by state.</p>

<p>I think there's a special scholarship for African-Americans though if you checked that little box. I think it's called Achievement something or other. So if you're black you may have a chance!! (As odd as that sounds lol)</p>
